The Question of Immigration

Contrary to popular belief and speculation, the candidate from the Surprise Party, William Brydon, has an in depth plan for immigration reform. This idea stemmed from a secondary question that twisted around his words. Many people now believe that Mr. Brydon plans to do something akin to opening up borders, or making illegal immigration easier. That is false slander from an opposing candidate just trying to take a stab at Mr. Brydon.
The fact of the matter is that his plan was misunderstood and misinterpreted. Mr. Brydon's plan includes getting current illegal immigrants to become citizens, while preventing other illegals from coming into the country. By cracking down on these illegals and getting them into the system or to the point of being citizens, we will get have them be paying back into the system they were previously feeding off of.
Thousands of dollars are lost because of undocumented illegals living inside our nation each year. Because they are living under our government's radar, they are not able to pay into our system, but are still able to hold jobs in the place of those legally here. By taking away the stigma behind being documented and assuring the current immigrants that they will not be deported, Mr. Brydon's plan will stop the government from continuing to lose that money. The next step after getting this group of people documented and approved is getting them citizenship so that they will truly be American instead of just a visitor in their home.
However, this does not mean that new illegals would be welcome. The reason behind not deporting the current ones is that many of them have been here have been here for many years and have a life here, so it would be cruel to take that away from them. With new policies and regulation, Brydon will fight to make illegal immigration much more difficult.
Having these new regulations in place will make sure that there will never be another huge group of illegals as there are today. A vote for Brydon is a vote for a brighter and more unified tomorrow.
