Blue Party Candidate, Matthew Brough, Caught in Bribing Scandal

On October 25, 2016, the candidate for the Blue Party, Matthew Brough, was attending the Cheshire Girls Volleyball game. It was senior night for the girls, a night dedicated to honor and thank the seniors for their commitment and skill. However, this night was disgraced by a disgusting scandal.
Brough volunteered to be the line judge for during the varsity game, relieving fellow attendee Mengyi Sun who was line judge for the junior varsity game. This may seem like a kind act until following the junior varsity game, Brough approached Sun with the intention of bribing him to work the varsity game as well.
“He kind of just ran up to me and asked me to do lines for the varsity game. He told me he would give me a dollar for it. Then when I declined, he doubled the offer,” Sun answered when asked about the event.
According to Sun, Brough said he did not want to do the job, even though the two agreed to the job distribution days before.
After much persuasion, Sun accepted the two dollars to do the job. Brough, however, did not have his own money on him and instead offered Sun two dollars from the money he was suppose to hold for senior player Panru Jing.
“I’ll just give you Pan’s money,” Brough said to Sun.
When Sun heard this, he declined the money but still did the job.
How can we allow someone so unreliable and untrustworthy to become a congressman? He backed out of a job he planned to do at the last moment and instead bribed someone else to do it. Furthermore, he could not come up with the money promised and tried to steal and use the money of someone else. Someone who was suppose to be honored that night. Someone who should not have returned from the game to find their money gone. The disrespect Brough shown that night was unexpectable from a candidate.
“You can’t trust that kid. He’s tried to bribe people with the money I entrusted to him…” Jing said when interviewed after the game.
“Bribery should not be something happening this election. It is disrespectful and disgusting that one of my fellow candidates would stoop so low,” Candidate Will Brydon replied when asked about his opinion on this matter. “Unlike my opponent, I am reliable and trustworthy. I have never backed out of a promise and that won’t change anytime soon. You can expect my promises on what I plan to do for the betterment of our state and country to become true.” The election date is rapidly approaching and voters have a choice to make. What is yours?
